In the presence of the President of the University of Karbala Prof. Dr. Muneer Hameed Al-Sa’di, and under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences Ass. Prof. Dr. Jasim Abdul-Wahid, the Faculty of Islamic Sciences – Dept. of Fiqh and its Sources held the first annual Mahdawi Hope Festival.

The festival included a set of scientific and art Mahdawi activities and products by both the teaching staff as well as students. Festivities were also made in celebration of the blessed births of the Holy Imams (peace be upon them). The festival was initiated by the President and Vice President of the University, the Dean, his assistants, the Head of the Department and some of the teaching staff.
