This research came to study the phenomenon of miniaturization as a linguistic part within two linguistic uses, the first being the eloquent which was preserved by books and morphological rules, and the second was the colloquial spoken in the dialect of the holy city of Karbala.

The research monitored the phonemic changes that occurred in the colloquial speech, and tried to interpret them with a phonological explanation that shows the phonological development obtained according to the data of modern phonology, and the research sought the existence of a kinship between what happens when speaking the vocabulary of this phenomenon recently, and what was present in some ancient Arabic dialects, However, it remained in the folds of books preserved and recorded as dialects of some Arabs.

It is worth noting that Al-Sebt magazine is a scientific journal that is refereed within the scientific standards and is concerned with disseminating the civilizational, cultural and scientific heritage of the holy city of Karbala.
