The departments of the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala ranked first and second on the corresponding departments in Iraq, according to the results of the Iraqi classification of Iraqi universities IRU.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on its official website the final results of the classification based on the classification of the Quality Assurance Department in the Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation in the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation System. It is worth noting that the evaluation included criteria related to the institutional environment and academic programs, and their details and weights were divided into two groups:
Institutional performance evaluation criteria, which include quality and institutional accreditation 20%, international classifications 15%, effectiveness of scientific research 20%, community service 5%, resource maximization 10%, faculty members 10%, students 15%, and international diversity 5%.
Criteria for evaluating the performance of scientific departments, which include quality and program accreditation 35%, effectiveness of scientific research 30%, faculty members 20% and students 15%.
