The lecturer at the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Hamid Jassim Aboud Al-Ghurabi, gave a lecture entitled “The effect of drugs on youth and how to prevent them” within the attendance scientific session

Organized by the College of Engineering at the University of Karbala – Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Unit, and in cooperation with the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala and the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs Department in the Karbala Governorate Police Directorate, for a period of three days.

The records showed the legal rulings related to the prohibition of drug use of all kinds, as well as the Qur’anic verses related to the prohibition of alcohol and the fatwas of our honorable references in practical messages related to the avoidance of these types.
It is worth noting that the course also touched on a set of social, religious and legal concepts, introducing the dangers of drugs to human health, and studying the deterrent laws for this scourge. The course aimed to spread awareness among students of an academic nature, build a knowledge base on the drug issue, and prepare youth and empower them in society.
