The Qur’anic Studies Department at the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a scientific visit to the central library in Karbala, accompanied by the teacher Dr. Muhammad Ali Houbi and Dr. Alaa Al-Karaiti, the professor of library and research method, the teacher Waiting Jawad Kazem and Professor Muhammad Al-Nasrawi, and they were received by the curator of the Makaba, Professor Mahmoud Abbas Muhammad.

The visit aims to familiarize the students with the history of the establishment of this library and its characteristic of the civilizational and cultural heritage of Rafd, and it continues to provide the Karbalai community with thought and culture. Facilitates the indexing and classification process.

The students toured the library to learn about the sources of documentary information, which included manuscripts, books, periodicals, theses, university theses, and proceedings of seminars and scientific conferences.

It is worth noting that the library includes a number of theses and theses related to Islamic studies, which enriches the research student in the fourth stage to write the graduation thesis.
