The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala discusses the theory of empowerment in the Holy Quran

The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala discussed a Master’s thesis entitled ‘(Empowerment Theory in the Holy Quran – A Interpretive Study)’ by the student Raad Nadeem Kareem Jaber, in the Al-Sadiq Al-Amin Hall at the college.

The thesis aims to elucidate the components, conditions, limits, and understanding of empowerment as a theory, by highlighting its reasons, conditions, stages, and objectives. This is achieved by attempting to gather verses related to empowerment into a unified work, presenting an idea or a theory open to discussion, through contemplation of the verses carrying this concept. The researcher also aimed to highlight empowerment and its components in the Islamic nation through empowerment in Prophethood and its conclusion, as well as empowerment in Imamate. The researcher sought to present examples of empowerment in the prophetic era and the era of the Imams, comparing them with the empowerment of previous nations.

The significance of the thesis lies in the fact that empowerment on earth is one of the most important goals of human creation. Humans are stewards of God on His earth, and thus, empowerment is one of the means for developing the earth and improving nations.

The examination committee consisted of the following members:
