Abstract

This study aims to produce a manuscript of “Durrat al-Safa fi Tafsir A’immat al-Huda” (The Pearl of Purity in the Interpretation of the Imams of Guidance) from Surah Al-Fatiha to Surah Al-An’am, and make it one of the intellectual treasures enriched in the Arabic library. The study includes the verification, reorganization, and examination of the manuscript, as well as the study of its author, teachers, and the era in which it was written. It also aims to highlight the intellectual treasures, precise meanings, rulings, stories, and the role of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in the interpretation of the Quran and the foundations they laid to achieve that.

Accordingly, the study consists of two sections. The first section focuses on the author’s biography, methodology, and sources in interpretation, as well as the research methodology and the adopted version of studying the manuscript. It also includes the symbols and indications used in the manuscript.

The second section includes the verification of the manuscript, the explanation of its meanings, and the identification of any problematic areas. It also explains the meanings of difficult words or meanings that have disappeared from the text, footnotes, and marginal notes added by the author to his work. Additionally, it extracts the verses, prophetic traditions, or poetic verses that the author cited in his work.

Finally, the conclusion of the study presents several important findings, including the author’s reliance on a wide range of sources, which is evident in his interpretation that contains many sources and narrations transmitted from the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
