The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala discusses the expressions of encouragement and discouragement in the book Nahj al-Balagha

A discussion was held at the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala on the master’s thesis titled ‘Expressions of Encouragement and Discouragement in the Book Nahj al-Balagha: A Semantic Study’ by the student Huda Matar Hashim Shujai. The event took place in the Imam Hussein (AS) Hall at the college.

The thesis aims to shed light on the terms of encouragement and discouragement in the Arab heritage. It discusses these terms in the Quran, the noble Prophetic traditions, poetry, and specifically in Nahj al-Balagha. The study provides a concise overview of the relevant aspects of the book. It also highlights direct expressions of encouragement and discouragement in Nahj al-Balagha.

The examination committee included the following members:
