The lecturer in the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Islamic Sciences at Karbala University, Dr. Mawahib Saleh Mahdi, organized a scientific visit to the college library within the course of ethics in the Quran
She gave them a brief overview of the role of books and reading in the making of the contemporary intellectual and asked the students to do a class activity where each student summarizes a brief summary of an ethical book according to his choice.
On her part, the librarian explained to the students the divisions and locations of the books and helped them to learn how to access and retrieve information sources easily and smoothly through the process of indexing and classification.
The students wandered inside the library to learn about the documentary information sources, which included manuscripts, books, periodicals, dissertations, university theses, and proceedings of seminars and scientific conferences. It is worth mentioning that the library contains a number of dissertations and theses that belong to Islamic studies, which enriches the research student in the fourth stage to write a graduation research.
