The Committee for Islamic Rituals at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, in collaboration with the Development and Volunteering Team, organized an event commemorating the Noble Prophet’s Ascension Day under the slogan ‘The Prophet’s Ascension: A Heavenly Announcement of Mercy to All Humanity.’

The ceremony was attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Tai, his administrative assistant, Dr. Sadiq Abbas Rahi, department heads, faculty members, and students.

The event began with welcoming remarks and an introduction to the occasion by Mr. Hassan Abdulhadi Al-Lami (committee member), highlighting the committee’s role in commemorating such events. This was followed by a recitation of the Quran by reciters Mustafa Al-Hamdani and student Haider Al-Muhaddawi.

Dr. Al-Tai then delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of commemorating the occasion and reflecting on the greatness of Prophet Muhammad, the Messenger of Mercy, as the culmination of noble ethics and morals. The celebration continued with remarks from the Development and Volunteering Team, Quranic enlightenment sessions, poetry, songs, and melodies performed by students to rejoice in this blessed occasion.
