The Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, has achieved the first place among scientific departments in Islamic Sciences colleges in Iraq for the 2023 academic year according to the Iraqi ranking of scientific departments.

Dean of the college, Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Taie, emphasized that this achievement will provide motivation and foster institutional and programmatic competitiveness, creating a conducive environment for shaping outputs that meet development requirements. He expressed his joy at this significant achievement, which represents a victory for the college.

Dr. Mohammed Nazim Al-Mufarji, the head of the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education, attributed the department’s success to the efforts of colleagues and faculty members, who have been keen on organizing seminars, conferences, workshops, and writing scientific research papers.
