A faculty member from the College of Islamic Sciences participates in the compilation of an encyclopedia on Al-Qaeda and Daesh terrorism in Iraq

Faculty member Dr. Haider Shalal Mutab from the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala participated in the completion of the comprehensive encyclopedia on the crimes of Al-Qaeda and ISIS, supervised by the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (Bayt al-Hikmah Center).

The encyclopedia represents the first attempt in Iraq in terms of methodological work, document analysis, and procedural terminology description. It consists of three volumes and is divided into 11 main axes.

Dr. Haider Shalal Mutab contributed to the section discussing psychological and media operations and the arts of influence, covering over 180 terms used by the organization across more than 1400 pages. This section aims to understand the nature of the organization’s crimes in terms of coercive, psychological, media, and technological impacts.
