
The Psychological Counseling and Moral Guidance Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, organized the “Qur’an and Your Mental Health” festival in the college gardens. The event commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a speech from the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Taie, who emphasized the importance of balancing spiritual and psychological aspects in human life.
The festival included a scientific seminar on mental health and its impact on individuals, delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Jari Hadi. His lecture highlighted the significance of psychological stability in enhancing productivity and achieving success. Additionally, an exhibition featuring artistic works and creative projects by students was inaugurated, showcasing their perspectives on the connection between the Qur’an and mental well-being.
This festival is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness about mental health and its integration with spiritual values and Islamic teachings.
