
The Human Rights Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, organized an introductory workshop that addressed the crime of drug abuse and the importance of prevention, focusing on both Islamic Sharia and Iraqi law.
The workshop was led by faculty member Assistant Lecturer Salem Mohammed Naeema, who discussed the impact of drugs on individuals and society. He highlighted the stance of Islamic Sharia on this crime and its prescribed punishments, as well as the preventive and therapeutic measures outlined in Iraqi law to combat the spread of drugs.
The workshop was attended by a number of students and faculty members, who engaged actively with the presented topics and showed great interest in learning effective ways to prevent this harmful phenomenon.
