The Arabic Language Department at the College of Islamic Sciences is organizing a student cultural event to support the Palestinian cause.

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Taie, and under the supervision of the Head of the Arabic Language Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Hamed Shihab Al-Rubaie, the department organized a student cultural event to support the Palestinian cause, titled “The Arab Silence.”

The event was supervised by Professor Dr. Nouris Ibrahim Abdul Hadi and Assistant Professor Dr. Sarmad Adel Sahib. It took place in the Imam Hussein (AS) Hall and aimed to highlight two aspects:

Firstly, the oppression of the Muslim Arab people in occupied Palestine and the shameful stance of the Arab rulers towards this oppression and aggression.

Secondly, the event emphasized the imminent collapse of the Zionist entity due to its inability to withstand the resilience of the honorable Muslim nations.

The event included the following:

  • It began with the recitation of verses from the Noble Quran.
  • The attendees then recited Surah Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs and victims in the noble and steadfast Gaza Strip.
  • The Dean of the college delivered a speech titled “The Zionist Entity: An Urgent Temporary Disease in the Body of the Arab Islamic Nation.”
  • The Head of the Arabic Language Department gave a speech that recalled the heroic resistance in Palestine.
  • Following that, a student from the third stage, Montather Haider, recited a eulogy emphasizing the Jihad of the free and his stance against the corrupt and deviant Umayyad authority.
  • The student Zainab Hassan Hadi from the third stage recited a poem by the great Arab poet Mohammed Mahdi Al-Jawahiri.
  • Then, Hiba Abdul Kareem, also a student from the third stage, recited a poem by the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish, titled “Register.”
  • In between the poems and speeches, the students performed a magnificent theatrical scene titled, “Down with Israel.”
  • At the end of the event, the participating students were honored with certificates of appreciation presented by the Dean and the Head of the Arabic Language Department.
