As part of enhancing the practical aspect of the “Library” course and in alignment with the College of Islamic Sciences’ vision to support students’ research skills, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Rahi Al-Zaidi organized a scientific visit to the college library for second-year students from the Department of Arabic Language, with the assistance of the library’s curator, Mrs. Anis Abdul Qadir Kazem.
The visit, titled “In the Realm of Knowledge,” provided students with an opportunity for direct engagement with the library environment and insight into its systems and procedures. Dr. Al-Zaidi delivered an on-site lecture amidst the books and references, discussing the importance of the library in academic life and its role as a key tool in knowledge development and research skills enhancement.
Dr. Al-Zaidi emphasized that the library is not just a repository of books but a beacon of knowledge and a fundamental pillar in shaping a student’s research identity, underscoring the need for conscious and responsible interaction with sources of knowledge.
This initiative is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to create an integrated educational environment that combines theory with practice, and to connect students with sources of knowledge and the world of scientific research from within the educational institution itself.
