A Training Course on Green Education Launched at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid, and with the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Al-Taie, a training course titled “Green Education: A Future-Oriented Approach in the Digital Era” was launched, targeting students of the College of Islamic Sciences. The initiative is part of broader efforts to promote modern educational pathways and raise student awareness about future-oriented sustainable education.

The course is delivered by a distinguished group of the college’s faculty members:

  1. Prof. Dr. Amjad Hameed Abdullah
  2. Asst. Prof. Dr. Khudair Makheef
  3. Asst. Lecturer Imad Abdul-Ridha

The three-day training witnessed a wide turnout and active participation from students, who showed great interest in the integration of digital education concepts with environmental sustainability.

This initiative is part of a series of activities aimed at enhancing students’ cognitive skills and promoting the concept of green education within the college community.

The course seeks to disseminate the culture of green education and embed the concept of sustainability in the educational environment by linking modern digital technologies with sustainable environmental practices. It aims to prepare a generation that is environmentally aware, technologically equipped, and capable of contributing to the development of a responsible and eco-friendly knowledge-based society.
