Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Rahi Al-Zaidi, a lecturer at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, published a scholarly research paper titled: “The Theory of Poetic Theater Between Eliot, Lorca, and Salah Abdel Sabour” in Al-Baheth Journal – College of Education for Humanities.

The research presents a comparative study of three distinctive poetic theater experiences: the English poet T.S. Eliot, the Spanish Federico García Lorca, and the Egyptian Salah Abdel Sabour. It examines how Eliot reorganized theatrical time through a symbolic language that transcends reality, how Lorca blended blood and song to create theater pulsating with the spirit of the people and myth, and how Salah Abdel Sabour gave a unique Arab voice portraying human suffering and contemporary concerns in a distinctive poetic theater style.

This research is an important scientific contribution to understanding the development of poetic theater and provides insights into the mechanisms of intertwining poetry with drama across diverse cultural and historical contexts.
