Abstract

This study dealt with theses that bore the title (Quranic Grammar), and this study took upon itself the extrapolation of the efforts of researchers and their opinions in reviewing some grammatical concepts and rules, and reformulating them according to the Quranic evidence, and in light of the theory of Quranic grammar, and in particular those in which grammarians ruled as anomalies or few, and said that they were outside of grammatical analogy. The study attempts to monitor the basic common issues in those theses, and the grammatical issues that are frequently mentioned in those academic studies.
The nature of the study required that it be divided into an introduction and four chapters followed by a conclusion. The introduction was about the critical movement in conventional grammar, and the impact of that critical movement in producing the theory of Quranic grammar. The first chapter was entitled (Features of Quranic grammar among the ancients and its concept among the moderns and the problem of foundation) to talk about the existence of the concept of Quranic grammar and its issues in ancient grammar books, and the attempt of the moderns to establish the theory of Quranic grammar in the grammatical arena, and the attempt of some researchers to demolish the cognitive foundations of this theory. The second chapter was entitled (Issues of Quranic grammar in university theses) and this chapter was responsible for studying examples of Quranic grammar issues that university theses shared in mentioning. The third chapter was entitled (Quranic readings in university theses and their impact on the rules of Quranic grammar) to clarify the position of Quranic grammar on the readings. The fourth chapter was entitled (Grammatical inclusion in university theses and its impact on the rules of Quranic grammar) to reveal a characteristic of the Quranic text that is specific to it and not to other types of speech. The study came out with the most important results: The Holy Quran is the first and main factor in the formation of the principles of grammar, and the construction of the grammatical rule, and its impact varies between expanding the rule and branching it out, or refuting it, or confirming it with Quranic evidence. The aim of the study was to shed light on the efforts of Iraqi researchers and their impact on the foundation of the theory of Quranic grammar.
