Abstract
Thesis Summary:
This study is based on the investigation of the interpretation of the Holy Quran and its objective scientific study, focusing on identifying the most important approaches used by the interpreter, and these approaches are subject to a precise scientific method, and various tools used to clarify his opinion, formulate his response and document it with evidence and logical proofs supporting his statement, so the thesis was entitled “Nur al-Tawfiq and Kashf al-Taqeeq of Mulla Mohsen bin Muhammad Tahir Al-Qazwini from verse (142) of Surat Al-Baqarah to verse (203) – Study and Investigation”.
The aim of writing it was to shed light on this interpretation and provide a valuable scientific interpretation source for the scientific library, while pointing out its scientific value and its integrated objective approach according to the rules set by Mulla Mohsen Al-Qazwini in his interpretation.
The study consisted of three chapters preceded by an introduction, and accompanied by a conclusion that included the most important results reached by the researcher. Then, the sources and references were listed. The introduction included the most important objectives of the research, the research hypothesis, the reasons for choosing the topic, and the difficulties that the researcher faced during her research, with a statement of the research methodology and plan.
The first chapter included (definition of the author and the work) and included three topics: his life and career, the era of the author, definition of the work and its sources. The second chapter included (the approach of interpreting Noor al-Tawfiq) and included four topics: the approach of Mulla Mohsen al-Qazwini in his interpretation, interpretation by tradition in Noor al-Tawfiq’s interpretation and its applications, the approach of rational interpretation in Noor al-Tawfiq’s interpretation and its applications, the approach of jurisprudential interpretation in Noor al-Tawfiq’s interpretation and its applications. The third chapter included (the approach of linguistic interpretation in Noor al-Tawfiq’s interpretation) and included four topics: Quranic readings and their applications, the linguistic level and its applications, the grammatical level and its applications, the rhetorical level and its applications. The researcher concluded her presentation with a conclusion in which she mentioned the most important results she reached in this journey.
The second section of the study focused on describing the manuscript copy, symbols and abbreviations in the manuscript, our method of investigation, and providing pictures of some pages of the manuscript, followed by the investigated text, then listing the sources and references.
This study has reaped various fruits, as it became clear the extent of Mulla Muhsin al-Qazwini’s knowledge and his immersion in various sciences, which was clearly evident in this interpretation, and the depth of thought, as it showed the amount of scientific value of this interpretation, and his creativity in explaining the Qur’anic meanings and interpretive jokes, and it became clear that Mulla Muhsin al-Qazwini’s effort in interpretation was clear, as the pages of that interpretation were full of opinions, discussions and interpretive responses that reflect a conscious, distinct and accurate mentality. This is a brief presentation of the main focus of the study.
