Under the patronage of the President of the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, and with direct supervision from the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Hussein Aboud Al-Taie, the 17th round of the “Riyada” initiative—now in its second season—was launched at the College of Islamic Sciences in the Computer Lab Hall. The course lasted for five days.
The course was delivered by certified entrepreneurship trainer and faculty member in the Department of Jurisprudence and its Fundamentals, Lecturer Imad Abdul-Ridha Hameed, and witnessed broad participation from students across various colleges and academic disciplines within the university. The course focused on fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students and enhancing their ability to transform creative ideas into real-world projects that serve the community and contribute to the development of the local economy.
This course aligns with the strategic vision of the University of Karbala to support Iraqi youth and reinforce its role as a leading educational institution dedicated to preparing capable cadres who can actively contribute to the country’s progress and development.
It is worth noting that the “Riyada” initiative, launched by the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mr. Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, is one of the most prominent national initiatives aimed at investing in youth skills and empowering them to enter the labor market effectively. This is achieved through comprehensive training and qualification in various fields that meet the needs of development and the Iraqi job market.
