The College of Islamic Sciences Holds a Hussaini Majlis as Part of the Cultural Program of the University of Karbala Procession during the Arbaeen Pilgrimage

The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a Hussaini Majlis as part of the cultural program of the University of Karbala’s annual procession, which serves pilgrims heading to the holy city of Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

The Majlis was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali; the Administrative Vice President, Prof. Dr. Jasim Idan Al-Mamouri; the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences; as well as several college deans, faculty members, staff, pilgrims, and representatives of Hussaini processions along the Karbala–Babel road.

From the early morning hours, staff from the Colleges of Law and Islamic Sciences provided various services to pilgrims, including hospitality, care, and meals, in addition to offering medical services and first aid. In the evening, the Hussaini Majlis was held, featuring a religious lecture delivered by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Ashtar, a faculty member at the College of Islamic Sciences.

It is worth noting that the University of Karbala procession follows an organized schedule in which colleges take turns daily to perform service duties, reflecting the spirit of cooperation and solidarity during this significant religious occasion.
