The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a Hussaini Majlis within the University of Karbala’s procession, as part of its cultural program during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
The event was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali; the Administrative Vice President, Prof. Dr. Jasim Idan Al-Mamouri; the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences; several college deans; faculty and staff members from the college and the university; as well as a number of pilgrims and representatives of Hussaini processions along the Karbala–Babel road.
From the early morning hours, staff from the Colleges of Law and Islamic Sciences began providing various services to pilgrims arriving in Karbala. In the evening, a Hussaini Majlis and a religious lecture were held, delivered by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Ashtar, a faculty member at the College of Islamic Sciences.
The procession follows an organized system in which two colleges take turns daily to perform duties of hospitality and care, including providing food, medical and health services such as blood pressure and sugar level checks, and first aid.
