
Thamer Al-Furtusi, a student from the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, took part in the resumption of the daily recited Qur’anic khatmah organized by the Scientific Complex of the Holy Qur’an at the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, represented by the Qur’anic Projects Center. The event was held in the courtyard of the holy shrine after a suspension of more than three months.
The resumption opened with the recitation of the first part of the Holy Qur’an, featuring a group of distinguished reciters from the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, including Qari’ Karar Al-Mayyahi, Qari’ Hussein Al-Hijjar, Qari’ Baqir Bayan, and Qari’ Ali Al-Murtada.
The participation of student Thamer Al-Furtusi reflects the continuous presence of the college’s students in national and religious Qur’anic activities, emphasizing the strong connection between academic institutions and religious centers, while also showcasing the talents of young Qur’anic reciters.
