The College of Islamic Sciences Organizes and Participates in the Al-Noor Qur’anic Competition at the University of Karbala

The College of Islamic Sciences Holds a Scholarly Seminar on The Struggle of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her)

As part of implementing the Ministry’s student activity program, the Student Activities Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, actively contributed to organizing the Al-Noor Qur’anic Competition, which was held at the university’s central hall under the supervision of the Student Activities Division of the University Presidency.

Representing the College in the organization was Dr. Mawahib Saleh Mahdi, Head of the Cultural Activities Unit, who played an effective role in ensuring the success of the event. Students from the College of Islamic Sciences also participated in the categories of memorization, recitation, and interpretation, delivering outstanding performances that reflected their academic and Qur’anic proficiency.

The judging panel included a select group of professors from the College of Islamic Sciences:
• Dr. Dhul-Fiqar Al-Mousawi
• Dr. Salem Jari
• Dr. Hamid Al-Ghurabi

The competition concluded with notable achievements for the college: graduate student Mohammed Hadi Sharad was nominated as the winner in the interpretation category, while third-year undergraduate student Abbas Fadhel Wali was nominated in the recitation category—an accomplishment that highlights the excellence of the College’s students in the field of Qur’anic studies.
