The College of Islamic Sciences Organizes a Workshop on the Methodology of Historical Text Analysis

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Abboud Al-Taie, the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Methodology of Historical Text Analysis.”

The workshop was presented by Lecturer Dr. Akram Hassan Mohsen, who discussed the main methodological steps adopted by historians in analyzing historical texts, highlighting the importance of the historical methodology in building a critical understanding of texts, and explaining how to deal with historical sources and analyze their contents within their temporal and cognitive contexts.

This workshop comes as part of a series of scientific activities organized by the college to train students and provide them with the necessary knowledge and research skills that align with the requirements of the labor market and advanced academic studies.
