Department of Arabic Language at the College of Islamic Sciences organizes a competition in Modern Literary Criticism

Under the patronage and presence of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Taie, and the Head of the Arabic Language Department, Professor Dr. Hazem Al-Barz, the department held a scientific competition in the subject of Modern Literary Criticism for fourth-year students.

The competition was organized by Professor Dr. Amjad Al-Fadhil, with assistance from Assistant Lecturer Sahib Kareem Sahib and Assistant Lecturer Sarah Ali Hadi, and featured remarkable participation from fourth-year students who demonstrated outstanding academic and creative abilities in addressing topics related to modern literary criticism.

During the event, the Dean emphasized the importance of regularly organizing such scientific and cultural activities throughout the academic year, as they play a key role in encouraging creativity and developing students’ analytical and literary skills. He also praised the efforts of the organizers and participants.

At the conclusion of the event, academic books authored by Professor Dr. Amjad Al-Fadhil were presented as gifts to the outstanding participants in recognition of their distinguished engagement and scholarly performance.
