The College of Islamic Sciences launched a distinguished cultural initiative titled “Best Companion”, presented by the Head of the Cultural Unit, Assistant Professor Dr. Mawaheb Saleh Mahdi, with the aim of encouraging students to read cultural books, summarize them, and share their summaries for the benefit of other students.
The initiative continued for an entire month, with participation from third-year students of the Department of Qur’anic Sciences—in both morning and evening classes. The initiative witnessed remarkable engagement from students who showed great interest in enhancing their reading and analytical skills through exploring various books and producing well-structured academic summaries.
The project concluded with honoring the outstanding students in this activity and presenting them with appreciation awards, in recognition of their efforts and to encourage them to continue practicing reading as a conscious act that contributes to building both academic and cultural character.
This initiative comes as part of a series of cultural activities through which the college seeks to strengthen the culture of reading and develop intellectual awareness among its students.
