The College of Islamic Sciences Hosts the Ninth National Team-Based Qur’anic Competition with the Participation of Iraqi Universities

The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala hosted the events of the Ninth National Team-Based Qur’anic Competition, with wide participation from various Iraqi universities, under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrines — the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine / House of the Holy Qur’an.

The competition was held in Al-Sanhoori Hall at the College of Law and spanned three consecutive days, featuring remarkable Qur’anic presentations as well as scholarly and spiritual competitions among the participating teams.

The opening session began with a welcoming speech delivered by the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Muhammad Hussein Aboud, on behalf of the President of the University of Karbala. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of such events in promoting Qur’anic culture and strengthening faith-based values among university students.

Hosting this competition reflects the continued efforts of the college and the university to support Qur’anic activities and to provide opportunities for young talents to participate in national forums dedicated to serving the Holy Book of Allah.
