PhD Students at the College of Islamic Sciences Continue Activating Seminars with a Presentation on “The Hermeneutical Reading of the Qur’anic Text”

In implementation of the directives of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hussein Abboud Al‑Ta’i, and under the guidance of the Head of the Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ammar Al‑Ansari, regarding the activation of PhD student seminars, the student Sayyid Sajjad Mohammed Kazem Al‑Muddarisi delivered a scientific seminar titled:
“The Hermeneutical Reading of the Qur’anic Text: A Critical Study of Its Foundations and Method.”

The seminar was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mawaheb Saleh Mahdi and held in the postgraduate hall, with the attendance of a group of postgraduate students. In his presentation, the student discussed the major intellectual foundations of hermeneutical reading and its methodologies, providing a critical analysis of its principles and the extent of their compatibility with Qur’anic exegesis studies.

The session witnessed rich scientific discussions that contributed to deepening understanding of the issues related to modern interpretive methodologies. This comes within the college’s ongoing efforts to support scientific research programs and enhance the skills of postgraduate students.
