In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Allah the Almighty says:
{“Among them are those who have fulfilled their vow, and among them are those who await, and they have not altered in the least.”}
Allah the Most High has spoken the truth.
With profound sorrow and deep grief, the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, represented by its Dean, staff members, and students, extends its heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to the entire Islamic nation and to our esteemed religious authorities on the martyrdom of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei (may his noble soul be sanctified).
What eases the enormity of this tragedy and the magnitude of this affliction is that he departed as a patient, steadfast, and devout martyr, following in the footsteps of his infallible forefathers (peace be upon them). The treacherous manner in which he was targeted by the enemies of humanity and Islam clearly reflects the depth of the wound inflicted upon them by the pure and noble presence of the martyred Sayyid in their thought and conscience.
There is no power nor might except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great. May Allah magnify our reward and yours for this grievous loss.
Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Taie
Dean, College of Islamic Sciences
