Seminar for Master’s Students at the College of Islamic Sciences Discusses the Parameters and Features of Thematic Exegesis

A scientific seminar was presented to master’s students by Ms. Rabab Jassim and Ms. Nidaa Hadi, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mawahib Salih Mahdi, entitled “The Parameters and Features of Thematic Exegesis,” in the presence of a number of postgraduate students.

The seminar was hosted in the Graduate Studies Hall of the Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala. It addressed the main methodological foundations of thematic exegesis, clarified its scholarly guidelines, and reviewed its most significant distinguishing features in comparison with other approaches to Qur’anic interpretation.

The seminar featured scholarly discussions and contributions from attendees, focusing on the importance of thematic exegesis in addressing contemporary issues and its role in highlighting the unity of Qur’anic themes and the coherence of its concepts.

This activity forms part of the postgraduate academic requirements and reflects the department’s commitment to enhancing students’ research and analytical skills, thereby reinforcing rigorous academic methodology in Qur’anic studies.
