The College of Islamic Sciences holds a training workshop on research methodology

The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a training workshop titled “Writing Sources and References: Methods and Rules” at the Continuing Education Hall, as part of its ongoing scientific activities aimed at developing the research skills of graduate students.

The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Haider Shalal Mutib, a faculty member at the college, and targeted master’s students specializing in The Language of the Qur’an and Its Literature. It covered modern methods of documenting and organizing sources and references according to internationally recognized academic standards in scientific writing.

The workshop aimed to familiarize students with sound research methodologies, explain citation techniques, and highlight common referencing errors, while strengthening their ability to prepare high-quality academic research in accordance with global scholarly practices.

Participants actively engaged by preparing and presenting scientific slides in applied discussions, enriching the session and deepening their understanding of essential research concepts.
