The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, organized an awareness campaign in cooperation with students from the Department of Jurisprudence and Its Foundations, under the slogan “No to Blackmail Against Women,” in conjunction with the international campaign to combat violence against women.
This initiative comes within the framework of protection and prevention, as the campaign included the distribution of awareness brochures to the college’s students, containing clear explanations of the dangers of electronic blackmail and its negative impact on society in general and on women in particular.
The organizers of the campaign emphasized the need to confront such harmful practices by enhancing societal awareness and encouraging the reporting of any blackmail cases, stressing the importance of enforcing strict legal measures against perpetrators. They noted that addressing this phenomenon is a shared responsibility that requires collective efforts to protect individuals and society.
