
Assistant Professor Dr. Mawaheb Saleh Mahdi from the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala participated in the examination committee for a master’s thesis presented by student Nihayah Habib Taher Al-Shuwaikhli. The defense took place in the conference hall of Al-Mustafa Virtual University in the holy city of Qom.
The thesis was titled: “The Relationship between Guardianship (Wilayah) and Blessing (Ni’mah) in the Holy Qur’an: Its Effects and Conditions.” Dr. Mawaheb engaged in the academic discussion alongside Dr. Fida Hussaini from Pakistan, a professor at Al-Mustafa University.
Following an in-depth discussion that included detailed academic comments from the examination committee, the student’s responses, and clarifications from the supervising professor, the committee announced its approval of the thesis and awarded the student a score of 19 out of 20 with a grade of Excellent.
This academic participation reflects the ongoing efforts of the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala to support scientific research and contribute actively to academic forums both within Iraq and abroad.
