
Professor Dr. Amjad Al-Fadhil, a faculty member in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Islamic Sciences – University of Karbala, chaired the master’s thesis defense committee for student Sarah Talib Mahmoud. The thesis was titled: “Literariness in the Book of Al-Amali by Al-Marzouqi (d. 421 AH).”
The defense was held at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Babylon, in the presence of several professors and researchers. The thesis explored the literary aspects of Al-Marzouqi’s heritage and analyzed his linguistic and rhetorical styles in light of modern critical approaches.
Professor Al-Fadhil’s role as chair of this academic committee highlights his ongoing contributions to scholarly and research activities. It also adds to his record of supervising and participating in thesis defenses across Iraqi universities, reflecting the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala’s commitment to fostering academic development and promoting inter-university collaboration.
