The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala Hosts an Educational Awareness Seminar on Cancer Risks

The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala hosted an educational awareness seminar presented by the Warith Charity Foundation for Public Health, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. The seminar addressed major health challenges, particularly the rising prevalence of cancer in Iraq and around the world.

During the seminar, representatives of the foundation highlighted the seriousness of the cancer crisis and the increasing number of diagnosed cases. They emphasized the importance of community solidarity and the collective responsibility of all citizens to confront this major challenge, while supporting patients—especially children affected by the disease.

The foundation also showcased the leading role of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein and Warith International Cancer Hospital in providing advanced medical services. It was noted that treatments for children under the age of fifteen are offered completely free of charge, along with additional free services for adults whenever medical capacity allows.

The seminar witnessed strong engagement from attendees, who expressed their appreciation for the humanitarian efforts carried out by the Holy Shrine and its affiliated medical institutions in serving patients and easing their suffering.
