The students of the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Islamic Sciences – University of Karbala participated in a campaign to replant the college’s gardens, which included planting a variety of seedlings and trees and cleaning them to be ready to receive them in the best way and the most beautiful view.
The Director of the Special Needs Unit at the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Rafah Abdul-Hussein Mahdi Al-Fatlawi, said that the campaign was organized with the aim of integrating students with special needs into the university community with healthy students and providing them with various services under normal environmental conditions in which their ordinary peers receive the same services and work. As much as possible, not to isolate and separate them as a form of equality and participation, while removing any manifestation of discrimination and moving away from them under the pretext of the privacy of the situation of those individuals, i.e. removing the stigma associated with those special groups and groups as well as self-realization and increasing motivation towards learning and forming social relationships with others.
