Dr. Hazem Fadel Al-Baraz, a faculty member in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Islamic Sciences, Karbala University, has recently published a book titled “Dialectics of Storytelling in the Quranic Text” through the Academic Book Center in Amman.
The significance of this book lies in its exploration of an important aspect of the Quran, namely the dialectics of storytelling, which is a technique employed in sophisticated creative texts that utilize language in a unique manner. Scholars have made tremendous efforts to study and observe this phenomenon in order to understand the true essence of the Quranic miracle.
In his book, the author emphasizes that the dialectics of storytelling in the Quranic text is the pulsating nerve and the vibrant life of the Quran itself. Every part of the Quran resonates with the Quranic text, as it plays a crucial role in crystallizing the ultimate goal of human guidance. The Quran encompasses various forms of dialectics of storytelling that embrace different patterns of human thought, adopting a special approach to persuasion that leads individuals to certainty, regardless of the changing environments and ages.
It is worth mentioning that this book has been recognized as one of the top ten books in the Arab world and has been awarded the Sheikh Zayed Book Award.
