The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences honored Iraqi champion Najla Imad Al-Daini, who won a gold medal at the 2024 World Paralympic Games held in Paris. The ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Iraqi Paralympic Committee in Baghdad, in the presence of the committee’s president and her family.
The recognition included presenting her with a certificate of appreciation, a creativity and excellence shield, flower bouquets, and a financial award, in recognition of her great achievement as the first Iraqi woman to win a gold medal in the Paralympic Games.
The Iraqi Paralympic Committee, its president, and Al-Daini’s family expressed their pride in this honor from the Women’s Affairs Unit, emphasizing that such recognition is a step in the right direction to support Iraqi women in all fields, including sports.
