The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has granted institutional accreditation to the University of Karbala.
According to an official letter from the ministry, the university achieved this status after receiving approval from the Minister of Higher Education on the minutes of Meeting No. (38) of the Institutional Accreditation Council. The decision, supported by the authority granted under Ministerial Order No. (299) dated March 13, 2023, officially confirms the accreditation.
The ministry emphasized the importance of adhering to the policies and procedures outlined by the council for maintaining and improving quality standards.
The University President, Professor Sabah Wajid Ali, expressed gratitude to the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department and acknowledged the dedication of faculty and staff in achieving this milestone. He highlighted their commitment to enhancing the university’s reputation both locally and internationally.
Institutional accreditation, awarded by the Ministry of Higher Education, recognizes academic institutions that meet stringent scientific criteria, including effective quality assurance systems and ongoing improvement of academic activities in accordance with established regulations.
