In a significant step reflecting the College of Islamic Sciences – University of Karbala’s commitment to strengthening academic and Quranic engagement, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Taie, Dean of the College, conducted an academic visit to the “Prince of Reciters” National Project, affiliated with the Center for Quranic Projects at the Scientific Complex for the Holy Quran in Karbala. He was accompanied by Dr. Sadiq Abbas, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs.
The delegation was warmly received by a group of Quranic and administrative leaders of the project, who provided a comprehensive overview of the daily spiritual and academic program, as well as the structured framework for training and preparing Quranic students through three organized educational phases.
Dean Al-Taie expressed his deep admiration for the project, describing it as “a unique model of academic and Quranic educational work,” and affirmed the College’s support for opening avenues of cooperation and knowledge exchange with this distinguished initiative. He also announced a new initiative to produce a group recitation operetta by the College’s students in coordination with the project — the first of its kind to enhance the presence of the Holy Quran within the university environment.
The visit concluded with a formal recognition of the academic delegation, in appreciation of their dedication and support for the Quranic movement in Iraq.
