Student Thamer Al-Fartousi from the College of Islamic Sciences took part in the first Qur’anic gathering held in Khanaqin, Diyala Governorate, as part of the “Week of the Birth of the Qur’anic Light” program organized by the Scientific Complex of the Holy Qur’an at Al-Abbas’s Holy Shrine, represented by the Center for Qur’anic Projects, under its pioneering initiative “Minbars of Light.”
His participation came as part of the academic and religious engagement of the College of Islamic Sciences’ students with cultural and spiritual activities, aiming to enhance their presence in the Qur’anic and community spheres and to embody their mission of serving the Two Weighty Things and strengthening religious identity.
It is worth mentioning that this participation is part of a series of Qur’anic gatherings being held across Diyala cities during this week, aiming to promote Qur’anic culture and deepen the connection with the Book of God and Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), under the blessed patronage of Sayyid Ahmed Al-Safi, the Legal Custodian of Al-Abbas’s Holy Shrine.
