The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, in coordination with the Women’s Empowerment Unit, held a scientific symposium on social networking sites and their impact on family disintegration at ten o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, corresponding to 11/23/2022, in the hall of Al-Sadiq Al-Amin (PBUH) in the college.

The symposium, in which Prof. Dr. Wafaa Abbas and Prof. Dr. Amjad Hamid, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Shallal lectured, aimed to shed light on the negative impact of the use of social networking sites on the family; In terms of wasting time, the deterioration of family relations, the widening gap between parents and children, the isolation and introversion of family members, and the resulting many problems, such as: betrayal, high divorce rates.
