Recently, a book has been published by Dr. Mawahib Al-Khatib, a faculty member from the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, titled “The System of Intellectual Education in the Holy Quran: A Comprehensive Interpretive Perspective.”

The book is a contemporary study that addresses an extremely important topic and attempts to address the problematic nature of educational systems used in teaching. It fills the gap faced by educational and research institutions. The main objective is to explore the verses of the Holy Quran in order to extract a comprehensive theory about the system of intellectual education, a methodology that proves its superiority over human systems while also incorporating human intellectual accumulation. This is achieved through the application of the objective interpretive theory, known as “Tawhidi Interpretation,” which was developed by the late Martyr Sadr, aiming to establish a sound method for the Quran’s interaction with the humanities for their development. Thus, the study presents a joint analysis of human and Quranic readings in an attempt to integrate them.

In her book, the author highlights the theory of the Holy Quran regarding the system of intellectual education and demonstrates its strength by standardizing human behavior in all aspects of life. The standardization is further reinforced through guidance and motivation to ensure commitment. The book also proves the difference between the educational system of intellectual education and the rational system of general behavior, showcasing the distinctiveness of the Holy Quran in highlighting both and their interrelation. Purification (Tazkiyah) is presented as a precursor to education, and the ultimate goal of education is purification. The Quranic system encompasses both aspects, providing a framework that enables the extraction of suitable details for every time, place, and human society.
