Based on the principle of the university’s openness to cultural structures beyond its walls, the Arabic Language Department at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, hosted a scientific dialogue seminar featuring the poet and writer Basim Frat. The seminar was presented by Dr. Ali Mohammed Yassin, a lecturer in the department.

The seminar took place in the Imam Hussein Hall at the college, where the poet discussed his literary journey and recited several poems that celebrated love for the homeland, mother, and child, which are themes present in his poetry collections.

The seminar was attended by faculty members of the college, as well as postgraduate and undergraduate students of the department. At the end of the seminar, Basim Frat was honored with a certificate of appreciation.
