
As part of the fruitful collaboration between the University of Karbala and the General Directorate of Education in Karbala Governorate, the College of Islamic Sciences hosted a distinguished training course titled “Behavior Modification for Counselors in Middle and High Schools,” organized by the Directorate’s Training and Preparation Department.
The five-day course was held in the Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) Hall at the college, and featured a select group of faculty members from the College of Islamic Sciences who delivered advanced academic and educational lectures.
The course commenced with a lecture by Dr. Hassan Al-Judhailee titled “Using Artificial Intelligence in Behavior Modification,” where he highlighted the importance of integrating modern technologies and AI in analyzing student behaviors and proposing innovative solutions that enhance behavioral performance.
Dr. Ayat Abdul Wahab also delivered a lecture titled “Jurisprudential Foundations of Educational Counseling,” in which she discussed the religious and ethical underpinnings that support and reinforce the role of educational counselors within a values-based framework.
The course aimed to provide educational counselors with new perspectives on behavior modification using contemporary tools and techniques, strengthen ethical and jurisprudential foundations in counseling, and enhance their skills to better address current educational challenges and foster a supportive school environment for students’ psychological and social well-being.
At the conclusion of the course, participants expressed their deep appreciation to the College of Islamic Sciences for its efforts in empowering and advancing the skills of educational professionals, emphasizing the importance of continuing such initiatives to enrich the educational sector with modern knowledge and competencies.
