Dr. Thulfiqar Al-Moussawi, a professor at the College of Islamic Sciences, participated in the “Midad Forum for Culture and Development,” held at Panorama Mall – Sixth Floor, by presenting a valuable academic lecture titled: “For the Nation, Not the Self: The Leadership of Imam Al-Hasan (peace be upon him) in Today’s Language.”
In his lecture, Dr. Al-Moussawi shed light on the profound reformist dimension of Imam Al-Hasan’s (peace be upon him) personality, discussing how his leadership approach can be a source of inspiration in addressing contemporary social, political, and intellectual challenges—conveyed in modern language and through contemporary tools.
He emphasized the importance of reviving authentic Islamic thought with a contemporary spirit, in a way that aligns with current transformations and offers realistic solutions rooted in the heritage of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
This participation reflects the ongoing efforts of the College of Islamic Sciences to engage with cultural and intellectual spaces, and to enhance the role of academics in addressing the nation’s concerns through purposeful and scholarly approaches.
