Professor Dr. Haider Shalal Mutib, a faculty member at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, participated in the defense of a Master’s thesis at the College of Media – University of Baghdad. The thesis, submitted by researcher Asmaa Shalaan Hadiyah, was entitled: “The Content of Viral Video Clips (‘Trend’) in Iraqi Satellite Channel Programs: A Case Study of ‘Mutadawal’ and ‘UT Trending.’”

This academic participation comes within the framework of collaboration between Iraqi universities and in support of exchanging expertise and knowledge across departments and disciplines, particularly in multidisciplinary research areas that intersect media, social, and cultural studies.

Such scholarly engagement adds significant value to the record of the College of Islamic Sciences in supporting the research movement and actively contributing to academic events at the national level, thereby strengthening the college’s standing and advancing its academic objectives.
