The College of Islamic Sciences Participates in the Third Electoral Conference of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate – Karbala Branch

The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala took part in the third electoral conference for membership in the General Assembly of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate – Karbala Branch, recently hosted by the university.

The conference included the electoral process to select 10 members of the Syndicate’s administrative council, with 18 academic candidates competing for the seats.

A supervisory committee from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, headed by Dr. Waad Al-Dulaimi, oversaw the voting process, ensuring strict organization and transparency throughout the elections.

The event was attended by a number of academic and administrative figures, including the University President, Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali; the Vice Presidents for Administrative and Academic Affairs, Dr. Jassim Al-Maamouri and Dr. Haider Mohammed Imran; as well as the Governor of Karbala, Engineer Nassif Al-Khattabi, along with members of the Provincial Council, parliamentarians, and several deans and academics from inside and outside the university.

This participation marks an important step in reinforcing the role of academics in actively contributing to decision-making processes that serve the advancement of higher education in Iraq.
